---------------------------------------------------------------------- From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- May 9, 2002 Dear HSLDA Members and Friends, Home School Legal Defense Association thanks you for your loyalty and partnership with us. Only by working together can we defend home school freedom and keep the cost of membership low. We want to let you know that we will be at an event in your area on May 17 and 18. The 2002 Arkansas Home School Convention and Book Fair will be held at Harding University, 900 East Center, Searcy, Arkansas. HSLDA Chairman and General Counsel Michael P. Farris will be speaking on "Restoring American Values" and "The Spiritual Power of a Mother." HSLDA Senior Counsel Christopher J. Klicka will also offer sessions on "The Battle for Your Right to Home School," "Understanding Suffering in the Midst of Home Schooling," "Home Schooling Heroes of the Past," "Home School Teenager: Standing Against the Tide," and "Home School Husbands: Are You Really Loving Your Wife?" Again this year, we are offering a special incentive for new members. First-time members who join HSLDA at the 2002 Arkansas Home School Convention and Book Fair will receive a free book. Invite three of your friends to come to the conference and sign up as new members. If they note on their applications that you referred them, you'll receive a free year of membership! In addition, existing members who renew for two years at the conference receive a free book.
