---------------------------------------------------------------------- From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- April 25, 2002 Dear HSLDA Members and Friends, We need your assistance. Through the years, HSLDA has enjoyed many productive partnerships with statewide home schooling organizations around the country. In order to help these organizations in their quest to be of service, HSLDA will soon be conducting a survey to assess what services its members believe are the most helpful. The purpose of this survey is to take these statistical findings and share them with the state leaders, not as a way of criticism, but as a tool which will help equip them with the knowledge they need to do their best. We will be calling a very small percentage of our members in the coming weeks for the purpose of conducting this survey. The survey should take around five minutes to complete. The questions are generic, not personal, and the answers will be kept confidential, only being reported as part of the overall body of responses. Please help us by taking the time to answer the questions. We will be calling in the late afternoon local time, as that seems to be the least intrusive time in regard to home schooling and family activities. Of course if you do not want to participate, a simple "no thank you" is all you will need to say, and our callers will understand perfectly. With members in every state, HSLDA is uniquely able to assess current trends in home education. This survey represents a statistically relevant sampling of members in all 50 states. We hope that this information will be useful to those who have served so well, for so long. It is anticipated that the results of the survey will be available to the state leaders at the HSLDA National Christian Home Educators Leadership Conference in October.
