---------------------------------------------------------------------- From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- February 14, 2002 Dear North Dakota Members and Friends, Home School Legal Defense Association wants to thank you for your loyalty and partnership with us, defending home school freedom in North Dakota and across the nation. Only by working together can we accomplish this goal and keep the cost of membership low. We want to let you know that we will be at an event in your area very soon. The annual North Dakota Christian Home Educators' State Convention will be held in Minot, ND, March 1-2. I will be speaking on "Remembering the Reason: Renewing the Vision," "The Father's Role in Home Education," and "The History of Home Schoolers' Struggle to be Free." My wife Elizabeth will be talking on "Ten Reasons to Home School Teens," "Beyond Text Books to Creative Curriculum," and "Training the Soul of Your Child." Again this year, we are offering a special incentive for new members: First-time members who join HSLDA at the North Dakota Christian Home Educators Convention will receive a free book. Invite three of your friends to come to the conference and sign up as new members-if they note on their applications that you referred them, you'll receive a free year of membership! In addition, existing members can renew for two years at the conference and receive a free book.
