Illinois Family Protected from Prosecution In December, HSLDA reported on efforts to help a member family in Illinois who were facing a truant officer. Despite our letter on behalf of the family, DeKalb County refused to drop the issue and even threatened prosecution. However, after HSLDA spoke with the regional superintendent, the matter was finally resolved.
