Our best advertisement is a personal recommendation from you--our members. To say "thank you" for telling your home schooling friends about us, Home School Legal Defense Association will be continuing its Three-for-Free program through December 31, 2002. This program allows current members to receive a free year of membership when they refer three families who sign up as new members with HSLDA. As an added incentive, we are offering your friends a free book for joining through this program. If you encouraged one or two families to join last year but did not reach a total of three referrals, you'll be glad to know that any of your 2001 new members will count toward your 2002 total! Your home schooling friends can join in one of two ways: 1. Our most convenient way to join is online at HSLDA's website, http://www.hslda.org/join. Our online application process is easy and allows them to fill in your seven-digit membership number ({{Account_ID}}), giving you the credit for referring them, and them the opportunity to receive "Why America Is Free." *** Look for the quick, easy, cut-and-paste instructions we have included below to send to your friends. *** 2. If your friends would prefer to apply via regular mail, they can simply enclose a printout of this e-mail with their application. Again, you will automatically receive the credit for having referred them, and they will receive a free book. HSLDA'S E-LERT SERVICE IS NOW OPEN TO EVERYONE---TELL YOUR FRIENDS! As a service to the home school community, HSLDA is opening its e- lert service to everyone. Initially conceived as the fastest and most accurate way to communicate with our members when state or federal legislation was threatening their home schooling freedoms, the HSLDA E-lert Service has grown to include weekly updates of home schooling news: from student achievement to links with major articles on home education to new research studies. Your friends can subscribe (it's totally free!) one of two ways: 1.
