Congressman ‘Disappointed’ by California Ruling WASHINGTON, D.C.—Last month, the Court of Appeal for the Second
Appellate District in Los Angeles issued a ruling declaring that parents
without teaching credentials who homeschool their children are
violating California law. U.S. House Education and Labor Committee
Senior Republican Howard P. “Buck” McKeon (R-Santa Clarita) issued the
following statement regarding the court decision following recent
statements from California’s governor and superintendent of public
