Wanted: Words from the wise
Proverbs 18 offers a wealth of wisdom on listening and speaking. Verse 15 says, "The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge; the ears of the wise seek it out" (NIV). Well, I'd like to take a cue from Proverbs and listen to you. Home School Legal Defense Association wants to seek out the wisdom of "seasoned" homeschoolers.
If one or more of your students has graduated from your homeschool high school program, we'd like you to offer some words of inspiration to parents who are just beginning their homeschool journey.
"The words of a man's mouth are deep waters," says Proverbs 18:4. Will you draw out of your deep well of homeschool experience the cool waters of reflection? We are particularly interested in receiving insights that you think will encourage families to keep on homeschooling, even when the journey gets tough.
You can email your comments (200-300 words in length) to info@hslda.org. We will want your permission to quote you in articles and various publications that we use to communicate to your fellow homeschoolers.*
Thanks for being willing to share what God has poured into your life! Proverbs 18:21 makes it clear that our words have power, even the "power of life and death." Your words have the potential of giving life to hopes and dreams that may be dying!
