Homeschoolers Helping Homeschoolers
Over the past several years the Home School Foundation has reached many struggling families, at just the right moment, to encourage them not to give up, so that they can continue to experience the blessings of a home education.
Homeschooling can be very fulfilling and exciting as you help young minds grow and imaginations develop. The dimpled smile and brightened eyes of that child who just made a new discovery, who just overcame a challenge, who just “got it,” are yours to treasure.
Yet, the homeschool path is not always glamorous and smooth. It can be lonely, discouraging, and doubtful at times.
The mission of the Home School Foundation to provide assistance to needy homeschool families so that people who find themselves in difficult circumstances can continue homeschooling.
One of the greatest joys experienced at HSF is when we receive letters of thanks from people that we have been able to serve.
“Thank you for taking care of the widows’ curriculum fund. We got our check in the mail yesterday and I feel so blessed. Sometimes I wonder if homeschooling is worth all the hard work that it is for me right now. My heart is not in it like it used to be. I never have any time for myself, I can’t even just run to town for a minute like I used to, and it wouldn’t be that way if I sent the kids to school.
“But when I got that check, I felt like there must be some people who are thinking more clearly than I am right now, who still believe in it strongly enough to help us financially. Thank you for being a part of that.” — C.C.
