The Parental Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (PRA), Senate Joint Resolution 37 (S.J. Res. 37), has again been introduced in the U.S. Senate. You can read the text of the Parental Rights Amendment here.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (SC) is taking the lead in promoting the legislation, and introduced the PRA on Wednesday, June 4. Graham has supported the Parental Rights Amendment each time it has been introduced, and we are extremely grateful to him for his efforts in working with us on this issue.
Shortly after the introduction of S.J. Res 37, Sen. Chuck Grassley (IA), Sen. Johnny Isakson (GA), and Sen. James Risch (ID) joined as cosponsors. If they are your senators, we encourage you to please thank them for their strong stance in ensuring the protection of parental rights.
We want to get as many sponsors as possible, and we are asking for your help toward that goal.
Please take a moment to call your two U.S. senators and ask them to cosponsor S.J. Res. 37, the Parental Rights Amendment and tell them the following message in your own words:
“I am calling to encourage my senator to cosponsor S.J. Res. 37, the Parental Rights Amendment. I agree with my fellow Americans who believe in the traditional role of parents as the primary decision-makers for children. But these rights are being eroded by courts, bureaucrats, hospitals, and schools. Please support this simple amendment to preserve these rights for our children and future generations.”
You can reach your senators through the Capitol Switchboard at (202)-224-3121, or find their information by using HSLDA’s Legislative Toolbox.
Thank you for acting with us on this vital issue.
