109th Congress (2005-2006)
Home School Legal Defense Association

Issue Description

During the 109th Congress HSLDA’s National Center for Home Education focused on advancing legislation in the Home School Non-Discrimination Act (HONDA) and other legislation to eliminate federal discrimination against homeschoolers. NCHE also tracked legislation that could have been harmful to homeschoolers if passed. Numerous successes were achieved and no bills dangerous to homeschooling received a vote.
