With weight-related health issues soaring in the U.S., there’s never been a better time to help your children enjoy getting out and being active. MaryAnn Gaver suggests how to fit that into your homeschool schedule, today on Home School Heartbeat, with HSLDA President Mike Smith. Mike Smith: MaryAnn Gaver: So our job is to provide lots of time for our children to get fresh air, sunshine, and physical activity. Bike riding, swinging on the swing set, playing catch, and romping in the yard are activities that almost all children enjoy. And when they’re old enough, doing sports can also be a very positive thing and have some great benefits. So I encourage parents to get outside with your family, and have some fun playing and enjoying healthy recreation. Mike: |
