After millennia chock full of people and events, there’s a lot of history to learn! Does your student find history fascinating? Or simply confusing? This week on Home School Heartbeat, Diana Waring joins HSLDA President Mike Smith to help you teach history in a way your student will love to learn it. Mike Smith: Diana Waring: Mike: Diana: And then there’s the huge portion of students that don’t enjoy sitting at a desk reading a book, who struggle to learn when a course is presented without any opportunities for moving or being creative. When history is studied in a lifeless way, it has no real meaning or relevance to their lives. It’s just one of those things they have to check off in order to graduate. My passion is to reconnect the reality and adventure of history in a way that’s meaningful, relevant, even life changing for students. Mike: |
