Through the generosity of many donors, the Home School Foundation is able to offer a variety of scholarships to homeschooling families to help with specific needs. Learn more by visiting the Home School Foundation online.

What factor makes the difference between a success story and a could-have-been? That factor might be you. The Home School Foundation is connecting people with a heart for struggling homeschoolers with families who need help. Learn how you can get involved, or request help—today on Home School Heartbeat, with host Mike Farris.

Mike Farris:
The Executive Director of Home School Foundation, Chuck Hurst, is with me again today. Chuck, we’ve heard this week what a difference the Home School Foundation is making for families like Vicki’s, who homeschool children with special needs. If our listeners want to be a part of the work of the Foundation, there are several ways they can help, is that right?

Chuck Hurst:
Absolutely! Here are a few ways you can be a part of the foundation’s work: you can give. Your gifts will go to help parents homeschool their educationally challenged child to the very best of their abilities, without having to yield control to someone who cannot love their child the same way that they do.

You can pray. So many families struggle valiantly to do what they feel in their heart is in the best interest of their child, but they need help that is beyond themselves, and beyond what the Foundation can give. We can pray that God will strengthen them for the work that He&rsqo;s called them to do.

You can also volunteer. We invite those with a passion for homeschooling to roll up their sleeves and get involved by becoming an ambassador of the Home School Foundation. To learn more, go to our website at www.homeschoolfoundation.org, and click on the section that says, “Give Help.”

Thank you for whatever support you can give to the Home School Foundation. One day, it may be you who stands in need. We’d like to be there for you.

Mike:
And Chuck, obviously if somebody needs this kind of help, they can also go to the website for information about that. Thanks so much for joining me this week. I’m Mike Farris.
