Have you ever heard someone say something nice—that he obviously didn’t mean? The way we communicate often says more than the words we use. Rachael Carman offers tips on teaching your children to communicate well, today on Home School Heartbeat, with HSLDA President Mike Smith. Mike Smith: Rachael Carman: Other characteristics that can also be just as important are sincerity, joyfulness, and consistency. Our children need to hear words of blessing from each other often and repeatedly, so that we can reinforce the blessing we are trying to pass on. Another thing we like to do at the Carman house to encourage each other is just to sing together. We have a lot of opportunities to do this through the day while we’re doing chores. And Scripture says it’s a great way to bless each other. Mike: |
