Does a cloud of eraser dust, math worksheets, and research projects fog the vision you once had for homeschooling? Today on Home School Heartbeat with HSLDA President Mike Smith, author Jason Soldini explains how a family mission statement can help keep things in perspective. Mike Smith: Jason Soldini: The other reason would be for accountability. When we have taken the time to write out goals that do line up with our mission, we know what we should be doing and can work to achieve those things. Our goals include educational, spiritual, financial, physical, ministry, and others that help to provide a picture of where we want to be. We then use a schedule to ensure we can realistically accomplish these goals. Sometimes we can’t, and a particular goal is left out. The process has helped our family educate with purpose and realistic expectations. Mike: |
