Mike Smith:
Last time, we talked about donors to the Home School Foundation. We’ve talked about the Home School Foundation helping parents in overcoming some of the obstacles that homeschoolers face. Elizabeth, what are some of the ways our listeners can actually reach out to their fellow homeschoolers who are in need?
Elizabeth Smith:
Well, one of the things you can do is to pray for us and for our work. We’ve actually started a prayer meeting in our office to meet the needs of our families, and we will be meeting on a regular basis; we also ask for families to pray for us and pray for the work that we do. You can visit our website at www.homeschoolfoundation.org to learn more about how we work. If you meet people in need, we’d love to have you refer them to us, because we are there to help them. You can also support the Foundation through donations. We have a method for giving on our website, or donations can be made or sent to us by mail. And it might be worth noting that we are ECFA approved, that is, that we have undergone careful scrutiny with our finances; and we are also a part of the Combined Federal Campaign, so any government workers, state workers, military families, they can all designate the Home School Foundation for their giving.
Mike:
On behalf of all those that have received help, I want to thank the Home School Foundation, Elizabeth. It’s exciting to hear what God is doing through the Foundation. And until next time, I’m Mike Smith.
