Are people today passionate about the important things in life? Michael Farris talks with Zan Tyler about the cultural climate for nurturing close relationships, on today’s Home School Heartbeat. Michael Farris: Zan Tyler: Today’s society is backwards; we’re passionate towards our job and material security, and we’re much more nonchalant about family relationships. So we focus on careers and what they can provide at the expense of our relationships with God and with each other. And I think what we can do to avoid that, is as we are going, as we are making disciples, we teach our children how to be busy with us so that we’re not going in a hundred different directions. We’re serving together, we’re learning together, we’re worshiping together, and we’re accomplishing together. Mike: |
