These days there's a homeschool curriculum for everyone. But it wasn't always this way. Join Mike Smith on today's Home School Heartbeat as he talks about how homeschoolers produced the best education materials available. Mike Smith: It was not always this way. Just 10 years ago the options for a homeschool family were limited. There were only a few curriculum providers. Homeschool parents needed to be much more self-sufficient, imaginative, and creative in order to provide their children with an excellent education. As interest in homeschooling grew, so did the demand for diverse education materials. Curriculum providers, who often are veteran homeschoolers, saw an opportunity to share their knowledge. Curriculum providers multiplied rapidly during the 1990s. Today, homeschoolers have a tremendous pool of resources to draw upon and the likelihood is that the future will show even greater innovation, as more and more homeschool families use their experiences and skills to produce high-quality homeschool curriculum. Please join us next time when we will address the quality of homeschool curriculum. And until that time, I'm Mike Smith. How can the Home School Legal Defense Association help you?
