This week we've been talking about the benefits of an individualized education plan for children. Children are unique and thrive when education is tailored to their needs rather than being pushed through a one-size-fits-all system, which cannot respond adequately to individual children. Homeschoolers follow an individualized education plan and, according to all the studies, are succeeding in every area of life.


But what if this method was expanded to the majority of students? What's the true potential of individualizing education?


Almost certainly, more children would pursue academics for longer periods of time, since they would be able to follow their own interests. The flexibility of an individual plan would enable children to take the time they needed to grasp important concepts rather than being pushed from grade to grade.


Better education does lead to more opportunities. Doors open for children the more successful they are in their education.


No one knows what the true extent of the benefit of individual education would be, but all of the signs point to a tremendous change for the better for the future.
