Mike Smith:
The conclusion among most responsible commentators is that homeschooling is good for children.
The loving, caring environment generated by the typical homeschool parent provides a place where a child can flourish. A flexible schedule with limited distractions means that a child can pursue their own interests under the guidance of their parents.
Belonging to a homeschool support group is a good way of pooling resources and affords a great opportunity to unite with other homeschoolers in their community. Reaching out to families who may need someone to come alongside them is a good way of helping all homeschool families reach their potential.
The success of homeschooling is self-evident, and more people are realizing the validity of homeschooling as an educational alternative.
Large numbers of homeschoolers means that more people will interact with homeschool graduates. So far, many homeschool graduates have stood out from the crowd, and are being pursued by businesses and colleges.
The tide is truly turning in the public's attitude toward homeschooling, but we will always have to respond to critics who simply do not believe that children should be taught by parents at home.
By God's grace, homeschooling will continue its advance in America and a new generation of homeschool children will be able to transform the culture and return the nation to its solid foundations.
And until next time, I'm Mike Smith.
