Christian pollster and futurist George Barna says that America's motto should be, "No change, no chance."


Christians are called by God to answer the call to represent His principles to our culture that has largely rejected Him. How can our children do this if we don't show them how?


Homeschoolers are often guilty of dwelling on the past more than preparing for the future. And in a sense this is understandable. We miss the way our nation used to be-more open to the values and principles that we know from Scripture to be true. Yet if we are to see a similar time in our culture, we must prepare our children to be mindful of the society around them. They must be mindful of things to come.


Many individuals and organizations have seen little success in their ministry because they have failed to understand this simple truth about the world in which they live. Don't let your children make that mistake. Fully ground them in the scriptures, and be sure to study with them the writings of the Christian thinkers of the past and present, so that when they become adults they'll be prepared to influence their culture for Christ.
