Homeschooling is growing rapidly around the world and homeschoolers in other countries often look to the U.S. as an example. Today on Home School Heartbeat Mike Smith and Christopher Klicka talk about what you can do to help homeschoolers in other countries. Mike Smith: Chris, homeschoolers in the U.S. enjoy tremendous educational freedom compared to homeschoolers in other countries. What can American homeschoolers do to help homeschoolers in other countries? Chris: First of all, I believe that we need to pray regularly for homeschoolers around the world. If we don't pray for them, who will? And there is power in prayer, and we've seen God do some great miracles on behalf of homeschoolers here in the United States and around the world. Secondly, we urge families to regularly check the HSLDA web page at www.HSLDA.org. That will enable you to stay abreast of the latest happenings in these countries, since we have an extensive international page that's available to review. Thirdly, we urge families to support efforts to legalize homeschooling in these countries. And you can simply do that by both checking the HSLDA web page and answering the alerts that we periodically send out, telling people to contact the embassy for a particular country in order to influence legislation in that country. Mike Smith: Chris, thank you for that good report. And personally, I want to thank you for all the work you've done to advance home education freedom internationally.
