Homeschooling moms who've been teaching for years have a wealth of experience to share. Join Michael Smith as he talks with a veteran homeschooling mother, his wife, Elizabeth, about ways "retiring" moms can encourage those following in their footsteps. Mike Smith: For mothers who have completed their homeschooling years, do you have any advice for them as they seek to be Titus 2 women? How can they encourage the moms who are still teaching? Elizabeth: Well, I want to encourage moms that are still teaching by telling them that there is a big picture of homeschooling and to keep your eye on that. You are impacting your culture. You're raising a generation that are going to influence our entire nation. In the great awakenings, Jonathan Edwards preached a sermon and he said, "Keep it going." We as homeschooling parents need to pray for our movement. That God would bless it and make it prosper in our nation. In 1995, Billy Graham made a comment about our culture. He said, "I think something is happening in our nation that we're going to be reading about 50 years from now." I think that something is the homeschooling movement and the incredible impact you moms and your children are going to have on our culture. Mike: Thanks, Elizabeth! From a totally unbiased opinion I believe you did a tremendous job this week. Want to begin homeschooling your children this year?
