Samuel, David and a girl in Naaman's household are all Scriptural examples of young people who wholeheartedly served the Lord. On today's Home School Heartbeat, Michael Farris, challenges young men and young ladies to take advantage of the flexibility offered by homeschooling and ask God how they can serve Him today. Mike: One comment I frequently hear from homeschool graduates is an expression of their gratefulness that homeschooling provided them the flexibility to be involved in important ministries during their high school years. Young people you can have a tremendous impact on the world of adults while you're still young. Penny Pullen was a Illinois state legislature for many years. In a recent conversation she told me that during her last two races she had the very best precinct captain she every had in all the years of campaigning. Penny's very best precinct captain ever was an 11-year old homeschooled boy. Young people, God is an equal opportunity God. Any boy, any girl who desires to serve God with his or her whole heart can be blessed like David because he was a man after God's own heart. Some of you could be leaders in business and help restore our nation to world leadership in this sphere and provide jobs for hundreds of families. Some of you can be fathers and mothers who raise a generation of children who will shine even more brightly as stars in God's sky. All of you can realize the potential greatness that God has for you if you're willing to have a heart which seeks after God. This is Michael Farris. Can you homeschool your children? That and other questions are answered in a great resource called Home Schooling: Start Here. It's available to you absolutely free when you contact us here at the Home School Legal Defense Association. Check us out online at homeschoolheartbeat.com. |
