Mike:
Weve been visiting with Teri Maxwell all this week. Today, we welcome her husband Steve, who is the co-author of Managers of Their Home. Welcome, Steve.
Steve:
Thank you so much!
Mike:
Steve, how can fathers assist with the daily schedule of home schoolingwhich basically involves the moms interaction with the kids?
Steve:
We just see this as so key, the dads role and his owning the responsibility for the success of his wife. So we felt it was important enough to do a chapter [in] which we hit some very, very key points. And one of those is taking responsibility for what is going onmaybe even making sure she has time to read the book and go through the Scheduling Kit. And finally, where does she need help? He needs to know the needs of his wife, and surely there might be ways that God might call him to help her.
Mike:
Steve, is this Scheduling Kit something that only home schooling moms can use or can other people use it?
Steve:
We have been very surprised, frankly, to see people with children in the public schools, grandmothers and others just pick it up and become engrossed in it. In fact, as they get into it and are captivated by it, they found the information to be very helpful to whatever circumstances theyre in.
