As the saying goes, “It is in giving that we receive.” Join host Mike Farris and his guest today on Home School Heartbeat to hear what invaluable skills one Generation Joshua volunteer gained from her efforts to help get out the vote.
Mike Farris:
Today I’m joined by Nikki Georgacakis, who’s a Patrick Henry College graduate. Nikki, welcome to the program.
Nikki Georgacakis:
Thank you, Dr. Farris! It’s great to talk with you again!
Mike:
It’s exciting to hear from you. Nikki, you led some exciting Student Action Teams in the past few elections.
Nikki:
Well, I think that my work with GenJ just gave me a real appreciation for some of the nitty-gritty details of working on a campaign, you know, the actual grassroots activities that just takes a lot of manpower, and until you’ve really volunteered with a campaign, or been involved with it in some capacity, like through Gen J and working on a student action team, you really, you don’t understand just how many people it takes to hit all these houses, and talk to individual voters in these huge congressional districts. That’s really just what I’ve seen in volunteering with GenJ.
Mike:
Nikki, thanks so much for sharing, and we need more young people like you who are taking steps to impact America. I’m Mike Farris.
