Homeschooling dads, do you struggle with balancing work and leading your family? Today, on Home School Heartbeat with host Mike Smith, hear how one father has dealt with that dilemma—and how you can too! “Your Turn, Dad” @home e-vent package
In this package, six different dads from different stages in life chime in with their lessons on fatherhood. In these encouraging webinars, they cover everything from having a “presence in your absence” to being a dad who is “fully there”—how to engage your children, teach them, and help your wife from shouldering all the burden of both home and school. Want to get some tips on managing work and family? Find encouragement in raising up godly children? You’ll find it all here. Mike Smith: Kevin Swanson: Also, be a visionary dad. That doesn’t mean to be some great keynote speaker or anything like that; it just means you get creative. Say, “You know, let’s do this!” You see a sunset, you see what God has done, you just marvel in front of your children: “Wow, this is beautiful! Let’s hold hands and let’s just sing ‘This is the day the Lord has made.’ Let’s give God some praise here.’ That’s what it means to be a visionary dad; just come up with creative ways to incorporate God’s Word into your life. And then finally, just prioritize the family devotion time. Get into the Word of God and get the Word of God into your family. Mike: |
