Abraham Lincoln said, “I regard no man as poor who has a godly mother.” This Mother’s Day, join HSLDA staff members in making the godly mother in your life rich with praise and thanks! Let’s hear from a few of them today, on Home School Heartbeat.
Noelle Blakenship:
My name is Noelle Blankenship, and I am a web designer here at HSLDA. I love my mama because she is kind and compassionate, and she most of all encourages me to pursue God. And we have great talks, and we play tennis together, which is what I love.
Dan Beasley:
My name is Dan Beasley, and I’m a legal assistant here for HSLDA. I’m forever grateful to my mom for her godly example of a daily, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ, her faithfulness to my dad, her prayers, and her commitment to homeschooling me and my brothers and sisters.
Jonathan Horton:
My name is Jonathan Horton, and I’m the national grassroots director at ParentalRights.org. I owe so much to my mother. It was through a conversation that I had with her at a very young age that I came to decide to put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Later, as I grew older, my mom had a significant impact in channeling my early stubbornness into diligence and a drive to accomplish the things I believed need to be done in the world. I love you, Mom!
Steve Oberlander:
Hi, I’m Steve Oberlander. I’m the chief financial officer at HSLDA, and today, I’d like to honor my wonderful wife Shelley. What a wonderful mother Shelley is, giving them a love for God and the Bible, loving them and loving me. Thank you, Shelley.
