Caregiving as a Homeschooler CR article![]() Looking for encouragement and suggestions for caregiving as a homeschooler, or wondering what questions you need to answer before you embark on that journey? Request HSLDA’s Court Report cover story by clicking the link above. Many homeschoolers believe home is the best place to be! When you’re considering what’s best not for your child but for an elderly parent, does that still hold true? Today on Home School Heartbeat with host Mike Smith, Janice Campbell lists some pros and cons of caregiving while you're homeschooling. Mike Smith: Janice Campbell: But no matter what the situation, there are always things you will lose. You’ll lose time alone with your husband and your children. You’ll miss out on going places with your family if the person you’re caring for can’t go and can’t be left alone. You’ll lose freedom of flexibility in almost every area of life. You lose touch with friends who aren’t similarly tied down. But through it all, you can draw closer to the Lord and have so many blessings, you’ll be thankful you did it. Mike: |
