Our guest this week is Chuck Bentley, CEO of Crown Financial Ministries. Chuck, it’s really a pleasure to have you on the program today!

Chuck Bentley:
Well, thank you, Mike, I appreciate what you guys do and I’m very excited to help homeschool families. We’ve been doing that for 21 years and continue to do it today!

Mike:
Well, God bless you, Chuck! Your organization is focused on teaching principles of biblical finance to people. Would you tell us why we should teach financial management to our children?

Chuck:
Well, first of all, it’s a biblical mandate. We’re not fulfilling the Great Commission unless we teach the full counsel of God’s word, so, I think it’s essential that they understand what God says about money just as any other part of the Christian life.

And then secondly, it will equip them to fulfill God’s purposes for their life. If our children don’t know how to manage money, they’re going to be thwarted in their ability to follow His ways and to fulfill what He’s called them to do.

And then finally, Mike, I believe that our children are facing some of the greatest financial challenges of any generation that’s to come, and they need to be prepared for that. So, they’re only going to be able to face those challenges if they understand God’s ways of managing money.

Mike:
