Twenty years ago, the legal elites started chanting for the recognition of same-sex marriage. And now they’re calling for the recognition of the state as the final authority in education. Today on Home School Heartbeat, host Mike Farris warns of the coming storm.

Mike Farris:
The “It takes a village to raise a child” crowd believes that the government has a prior claim over parents, concerning the development of the hearts and minds of children. We have American law professors that we&rsuqo;ve quoted—lots of them—who want to ban or heavily regulate homeschooling and private religious schools.

If we do not take this threat seriously, we’ve got neither common sense nor spiritual perception.

Last September, HSLDA sponsored its annual conference for state homeschooling leaders. We invited a number of speakers, but gave them no topic or theme.

Pastor Erwin Lutzer, of Moody Church, felt compelled by God to warn us that trouble is coming if we name the name of Christ. Phil Tuttle, president of Walk Thru the Bible Ministries, warned us: Trouble is coming if we name the name of Christ. Mike Smith, our president of HSLDA, related a warning that America is headed for trouble—especially for those who name the name of Christ.

And then I delivered the long version of this radio series. I named the names of some of the wannabe persecutors, cited their articles, explained their theories, and revealed their plans.

Let me be clear: this is not an attack on just homeschoolers. This liberal elite wants to aim at every Christian who believes that Jesus is the only way to God, and wants to teach that to their children.
