What does the future hold for homeschooling? While we can’t know that, we can keep our eyes open to current developments! Today on Home School Heartbeat, Mike Smith and Mike Farris talk about a few issues to watch. Mike Smith: Mike Farris: There are authors who are law professors in big name schools like Emory University, William and Mary Law Review, they teach at George Washington University, and so on. These law professors, who are training the next generation, want homeschooling severely regulated; some of them call for the banning of all private schools—including homeschools. Why? Because they don’t like the fact that Christians are teaching their kids that Jesus is the only way to God. This violates the standards of tolerance that are in Article 29 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and is the general modus operandi for the liberals these days. You must be tolerant of all religions. If you teach people that Jesus is the only way to God, you’re violating their standards. We’re going to have a battle on this, and we need to stand up, and we need to prevail. Mike Smith: Until next time, I’m Mike Smith. |
