“Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does,” said philosopher William James. Today on Home School Heartbeat, Ricci Black from the Home School Foundation joins HSLDA President Mike Smith to explain how you can act to make a difference! Mike Smith: Ricci Black: Now community ambassadors serve as our eyes and ears at the local level. They seek out opportunities to meet needs, organize service projects, and raise funds to replenish our Compassion Fund so that we can help even more needy homeschoolers. Service ambassadors become involved on a case-by-case basis to volunteer for service projects like yard maintenance for a new widow, meals for a family where there is illness, or even a home repair job—there are just so many different ways for ambassadors to serve according to their skills, gifts, and time availability.
