Pella Pushes Dual Enrollment

A number of Pella-area home school families were displeased by the unrelenting efforts of local officials to sign them up for dual enrollment on the Competent Private Instruction Report.

On behalf of Home School Legal Defense Association member families, attorney Scott Woodruff contacted the local superintendent. The superintendent agreed that last year’s forms could be used this year, that a form should not be rejected merely because the dual enrollment portion was not filled in, and that his staff would take appropriate measures so that home school families would not feel pressured in the future.
