Thank the Lord for an improved home school law in Oregon and the defeat of efforts to expand the compulsory attendance age in Idaho and Nebraska.

Pray for home schoolers in states which have increased home school regulations or compulsory attendance ages—especially Alabama, New York, and South Dakota.

Intercede for families facing often-traumatic social services investigations because of false anonymous reports of child abuse or neglect.

Lift up families who are struggling with rebellious children, divorce, or natural disasters such as hurricanes and tornadoes.

For families who are preparing to home school for the first time this fall, pray that the parents will prepare thoroughly and faithfully continue to educate their children, and that the children will honor their parents with their obedience and bless them with their cheerful willingness.

Pray that home schooling seminars and conferences across the country will bless participants and the movement at large.

Ask the Lord to protect and provide for families struggling to continue home schooling amidst difficult challenges—tight finances, opposition from extended family members, serious illness, or death of a loved one.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all Understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
