Prayer & Praise

Praise God for the initial victory in the Romeike family’s asylum case, which has been appealed by the government, and pray that the appeals decision will also recognize homeschooling as a basic human right. Ask Him to establish homeschooling freedom in Germany and grant strength and courage to German families. (See cover story.)

Thank God for expanding homeschool freedom through the efforts of grassroots activists in New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Pray that as HSLDA and state organizations continue to monitor legislation and inform members about homeschooling issues, legislators would respond favorably to lobbying efforts. (See Across the States.)

Ask the Lord to help HSLDA’s attorneys clear up misunderstandings with school officials and resolve pending cases. (See Active Cases.)

Lift up the work of the Home School Foundation as it ministers to families struggling to meet their homeschool graduates’ cost of attending college. Pray that both donors and recipients would be blessed by the opportunities available through HSF. (See From the Heart.)

Seek God’s favor on our nation, praying for His blessing on the homeschooling community’s efforts to prevent the federal government from intruding on parents’ rights to direct the education and upbringing of their children. Pray for wisdom and grace for the HSLDA Federal Relations Department as it monitors and takes action on legislation that would impact homeschooling freedom. (See Freedom Watch.)

Pray that this year’s iGovern camps would be informative and exciting for campers. Thank the Lord for teens around the nation interested in learning more about the government and working to preserve freedom in the United States. (See Liberty’s Call.)
