Prayer & Praise

Praise the Lord for the help and resources available to homeschooling families who are facing financial challenges in this tight economy. Pray that He will continue to grant them wisdom as they manage their money and that their local support groups, churches, friends, and family will reach out with encouragement and help. (See cover story.)

Ask the Lord to set a wall of protection around homeschooling families facing government contacts around the nation, give their HSLDA attorneys wisdom in providing legal assistance, and guide homeschool leaders as they seek to expand and protect homeschool freedom through proposed legislation. (See Across the States)

Thank God for resolved legal cases involving discrimination against homeschooling families. Pray for HSLDA attorneys and families still working on cases in court. (See Active Cases.)

Ask the Lord to encourage parents homeschooling children with special needs, to grant them grace, to provide resources, and to give them strength to face challenges. (See From the Heart, and Joey’s World.)

Pray for the preservation of the United States’ sovereignty as it is challenged by the UN and international law. (See Chairman’s View)

Thank Him for blessing homeschoolers with a wide range and variety of gifts. Pray for homeschooling parents as they select each child’s curriculum and search for the right courses, lessons, teachers, or service and ministry opportunities in the arts. (See Getting There.)

Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
