Prayer & Praise
Praise God for blessing homeschoolers’ efforts to protect
homeschooling freedom in California and for the Second District Court
of Appeal’s reversal of its previous
In re Rachel L. decision, when it ruled in Jonathan L. that homeschooling under the private school exemption is legal. (See cover story.)
Thank the Lord for the way in which diverse groups of homeschoolers
joined together to work toward keeping homeschooling free under the private school exemption in California. (See “California Homeschoolers Unite”.)
Lift up the L. family as they resume homeschooling and rebuild a
normal life following the challenge of being involved in a court case
receiving national attention. Pray that God would bless their family and
their homeschool. (See cover story.)
Thank God for the providentially
timed and effective lobbying of state homeschool leaders in Washington, D.C., who helped avert an attempt
to “protect” homeschooling at the
federal level, a move that could have led to federal control of homeschooling down the road. (See Freedom Watch.)
Praise Him for using a 1998 legislative provision to prepare the way
for victory in 2008. (See The Last Word.)
Pray for God’s continued hand
of protection on those fighting for
homeschooling freedom and
parental rights in new court cases,
on new frontiers, and especially
through the new federal Parental
Rights Amendment. (See Chairman’s View.)
I cried to the LORD with my voice,
and He heard me from His holy hill. Selah.
