Run for President this Summer
Hey teens—ever wonder what goes on in the halls of Congress? How agreements on amendments are hammered out between parties? What happens in a caucus? Come to the 2008 Generation Joshua (GenJ) Summer Camp and find out!
This year’s camp will feature a new program—a mock legislature. Campers will experience what goes on in a state legislature and in Congress, through participating in caucuses, drafting bills and amendments, attending committee hearings, preparing speeches, and voting on bills.
On Independence Day, GenJ staff and camp counselors will lead a tour to Washington, D.C., culminating in a 4th of July celebration and the capital’s nationally televised fireworks show.

In addition to the mock legislature, some old favorites are scheduled for camp, as well.
Presidential election. Campers will each have a chance to run for president. They will campaign in the primary, raise money, host press conferences, debate other candidates, hold campaign rallies, and then face off in the general election.
Inspiring speakers. Confirmed speakers include Mike Smith,
president of HSLDA; Rick Green, a Texas attorney, former member of the Texas Legislature, and speaker with WallBuilders; Rich Shipe, executive director of ParentalRights.org; and Alex and Brett Harris, the founders of The Rebelution. Watch www.generationjoshua.org for speaker updates.
Fun and games. We can’t say more
don’t want to spoil the surprises!
Generation Joshua recognizes that without training in godly character, all the political knowledge in the world will not prepare a young person for leadership. Daily group worship and devotions will be an important part of the camp schedule.
We’re excited about Generation Joshua’s 5th annual summer camp, and look forward to having you join us! For more info and to register, visit www.generationjoshua.org
