A New Option for Staying Involved
Are you graduating your last child from homeschooling this spring? Congratulations on reaching that important milestone! We are glad to have been part of your story. Your dedication to homeschooling, and the sacrifices you have made for your children, continue to inspire us. It is such a joy to receive a letter or an email from homeschooling parents with an update of where their children are now.
FAMILIES WHO NO
THEIR OWN CHILDREN
MAY CONTINUE AS
If you are reaching this important milestone, your involvement with homeschooling doesn’t have to end along with your homeschool program. HSLDA recently changed its membership qualifications so that families who no longer homeschool their own children may continue as HSLDA members.
If your membership has not yet expired and you would like to take advantage of the extended membership option, you simply need to fill out a membership renewal form. If your membership has lapsed, you can easily apply again. In either case, you may skip the more detailed part of the application or renewal form which addresses matters such as scheduling.
We hope that this option will be a blessing for those of you who would like to continue to be actively involved in the homeschooling community. You’ll continue to receive bimonthly issues of the Home School Court Report, access to the member portion of our website, and updates on legislative issues affecting homeschoolers at the state and federal level. In addition, your support will enable HSLDA to continue assisting current homeschoolers and working to preserve the freedom that helped make your own homeschool journey possible.
Former homeschooling parents may also be interested in contributing to the Home School Foundation’s Friends of Homeschooling Fund. Visit www.homeschoolfoundation.org/funds/friends.asp for more information.
