Prayer & Praise Previous Page

Ask God to raise up leaders in our government who understand and protect parental rights; pray that parents across our country would recognize the need to guard those rights. (See cover story, pages 6-10.)

Praise God for the generous friends who made it possible for so many widows and single parents to be blessed through Christmas checks sent by the Home School Foundation. (See "From the Heart," pages 28-29.)

Uphold Patrick Henry College students as they prepare for final exams and approach the end of the spring semester. Lift up the funding campaign for PHC's new student life center. (See "About Campus," page 40.)

Pray for the protection of the religious freedom of homeschoolers, especially in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Pray for the six families involved in this case, and ask that the district judge will preserve their freedom. (See "Active Cases," pages 38-39.)

Thank God for the legislative accomplishments of the National Center for Home Education in 2005, and ask Him to protect homeschooling rights in 2006. (See "Freedom Watch," pages 32-33.)

Intercede for homeschooling parents facing marital problems, rebellious children, tight finances, or unemployment. Pray that the Lord would meet their needs and surround them with encouragement and support.

Remember our country as two new justices join the Supreme Court. Ask that the Court make wise decisions in cases affecting parental rights and the freedom of homeschoolers.

Continue to lift up the homeschool families who lost homes and possessions during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Pray that God would give these families extra strength and wisdom as they homeschool while rebuilding or relocating.

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer . . . .
