  PRAYER & PRAISE

Thank God for blessing Generation Joshua's efforts, through the HSLDA PAC Student Action Teams, to positively impact the 2004 elections and help students realize that they can make a difference in their nation. (See cover story)

Praise God for protecting homeschooling parents and children across the country through resolution of unfounded social services investigations, defeat of dangerous state legislation, and clearing up of school officials' legal confusion. Ask the Lord to help homeschoolers continue standing against restrictive bills and unfavorable legislators. (See Across the States, and "Legislative Roundup 2004,")

Seek discernment and success for our litigation team as they defend HSLDA member families in active and pending cases (See Active cases).

Ask the Lord to grant the Home School Foundation wisdom this coming year as it distributes funds donated by generous families to homeschoolers in need (See From the Heart).

Uphold the students and faculty of Patrick Henry College as they prepare for midterms. Pray that in the midst of their busy schedules, they would find the time to seek God's face, receive spiritual nourishment, and be refreshed. (See About Campus)

Lift up homeschooling families whose spouses, siblings, or children are courageously serving our country at military posts around the world.

Intercede for families who are just beginning to homeschool midyear or who are encountering midwinter discouragement; ask God to send other families and support groups who will come alongside to advise and encourage them.

But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me!

— Psalm 66:19–20
