WYOMING

Protect homeschooling at the polls

Wyoming homeschoolers have been bracing themselves for a possible legislative onslaught by Democratic State Senator Katherine Sessions from southeast Wyoming. Home School Legal Defense Association was therefore delighted to find out that homeschooling mother Jana Ginter has been appointed to finish out the term of retiring State Senator Rich Cathcart. Since Mrs. Ginter also is a registered Democrat from southeast Wyoming, the state now boasts two female Democratic senators from the same region who view homeschooling from opposite perspectives.

While HSLDA cannot endorse or oppose any specific candidates due to our tax status, Wyoming homeschoolers have established an organization that can do so. The Young Patriots organization has been formed to help freedom-loving families elect family-friendly legislators in Wyoming. On a national scale, HSLDA's Generation Joshua maximizes homeschoolers' support of federal candidates. We encourage all Wyoming citizens to participate fully in the electoral process this November, and to contact their own state representatives to make sure they support the right to homeschool. It is up to us to preserve the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity!
