The number of children who are home schooled must be reported to the NJ Department of Education. Noncompliance is a violation of the State's mandatory school attendance law. However, New Jersey law does not require families to report the number of children they are homeschooling. When Home School Legal Defense Association informed Superintendent Blachford of the error, he apologized and agreed to send out a letter of correction. — by Scott A.
