VIRGINIA

GED demanded no longer

Home School Legal Defense Association's website currently lists three four-year colleges in Virginia as requiring a home school graduate to have a GED for admission: Roanoke College, Hampton College, and Virginia Military Institute. However, recently we contacted all three institutions and representatives told us that a GED will no longer be required. We will follow up to confirm this in writing. If confirmed, it would mean that not a single four-year college in Virginia requires a home school graduate to have a GED. This is great progress. See www.hslda.org/docs/nche/Issues/C/College.asp for more information.
