HSLDA legal contacts for April 2001

Praise the Lord for the increasing number of African-Americans who are pursuing the blessings of home schooling, often in the face of much opposition. Pray for the National Black Home Educators Resource Association and the Network of Black Homeschoolers as they seek to meet the needs of these dedicated families. Pray that more and more African-Americans will learn about and be able to take advantage of this educational opportunity. (See Cover Story)

Uphold HSLDA's Legal Department as we enter our busy season—July-October. Pray for families facing truancy contacts, social workers, or hostile school officials. (See Across the States)

Lift up the National Center for Home Education as they monitor federal legislation, lobby for important home school protections, and track United Nations treaty activities. (See Freedom Watch)

Thank the Lord for the judge's decision to free Sarah Dukes to home school (More...). Continue to pray for our other, ongoing cases. (See Active Cases)

Pray for a refreshing summer break for veteran home schooling families and strength and wisdom as they embark on the next year of their journey.

Ask the Lord to bless, protect, and guide new home schooling families as they set out on this exciting educational adventure together.

As the Court Report goes to press, Patrick Henry College has just hired a new faculty member and is interviewing another. Please pray for wisdom in the hiring process and God's blessing on new professors, new students, and returning students. Also pray for current faculty involved in important summer projects. And lift up PHC's administrative departments-admissions, financial, and public relations.

". . . praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints."

Ephesians 6:18 (NKJ)
