Home education law re-codified

As part of a comprehensive education bill designated as House Bill 1045, the home education law of North Dakota is being re-codified to give it new section numbers and to break into smaller parts the lengthy paragraphs of current law. Introduced by the Legislative Council, an official committee of the state legislature, the bill would make no significant changes to existing home education law but would clarify the intent of the monitoring and testing provisions.

HSLDA is tracking this bill and conferring with representatives of the North Dakota Home School Association about its passage. — Dewitt T. Black
