Freedom gained

A bill designed to limit home school freedoms was successfully amended to actually expand freedom. As a result, parents may now file their notice of intent to home school with any school district in the state. This gives families the opportunity to avoid school districts that have been known to harass home schoolers. Treon Goosen of Concerned Parents of Colorado played a pivotal role in the success of this endeavor. Christian Home Educators of Colorado families and HSLDA members made calls supporting this legislation as well.
