Administrative Rule Changes

Effective May 13, 2000, the state board of education made two changes to the Hawaii Administrative Rules affecting home educators. The standardized testing grades for home school students were changed from grades 3, 6, 8, and 10, to grades 3, 5, 8, and 10. Additionally, the age at which a home schooled child may take the General Educational Development (GED) test was lowered from 17 to 16. — Dewitt T. Black
