An Affirmative Plan: Debate Tournament

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 5:20 (KJV)

Thank the Lord for dedicated parents who are home schooling their special needs children. Ask Him to provide for all their needs—strength, wisdom, training, equipment, resources, and support (cover story)

Lift up our active cases: In re Children of T (CA), Children of W (CO), In re Megan (MA), Hooks (NV), Mrs. P. (PA), and Bevins (WV). Thank the Lord that In re Children of M (KS) has been settled.

Also , pray for our pending cases:
MacIntyre (AZ), DeSantis (CA), Harrahill (CA), New (DC), Stone (IA), Goulart (MD), In the Interest of J.B. (MO), In the Matter of S (NC), Forstrom (NJ), Balderson (VA), and Pollard (VA).

Pray for National Center for Home Education staff and for Congress as they prepare for the 107th congressional session. Pray that the Lord will give home schoolers favor in the eyes of new legislators.

Thank the Lord for protecting home schooling families in conflicts with school districts and child protective agencies. Ask the Lord to grant wisdom to those dealing with confusing or intrusive notification forms this year.

Pray for state legislatures convening in January and uphold state leaders who will be monitoring legislation for threats to home school freedoms.

Ask the Lord to bless those planning next year’s home school seminars and conferences across the country. Pray that the Lord would use these events to encourage participants and benefit the home schooling movement.

Intercede for families struggling with rebellious young people. Ask the Lord to bring repentance, forgiveness, healing, and peace.

Lift up home schooling families who are facing difficult times: tight finances, serious illness, a cross-continent move, decline of an elderly parent, or death of a spouse. Pray that God will strengthen their marriages, provide for their needs, and grant wisdom and grace for each day.

Uphold timid new home schoolers and weary veterans—ask the Lord for protection, provision and refreshment as they continue in His will.

Pray for God's blessings on the faculty and students of Patrick Henry College.

Pray for swift completion of the PHC student residence halls.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all Understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6–7
